Browser Safe Color Chart
My book contains a full color chart in the inside back cover to give you a selection of colors from which to choose. If you want to use the browser safe colors (see page 57), I've created a chart that you can consult on the Web. Unfortunately, because the colors were created for the Web, they cannot be reproduced correctly using the four-color printing process (i.e., the way most books are printed).

Browser Safe Palette, for Photoshop
On page 64, I promise a browser safe palette that you can download from the Web site. Here it is. Although the two versions are exactly the same, one is compressed for Macintosh and the other is compressed for Windows. Please let me know if you have any trouble with either file.

The colors from the inside back cover
On the inside back cover of the book, I've printed a selection of colors that you can use for your Web pages. Although they are not "browser safe", they will work fine on monitors with more than 256 colors. On monitors with less than 256 colors, some dithering may occur.

Hexadecimal Chart
If you want to consult the hexadecimal chart on page 313 online, you can find it right here. Remember, you need to use hexadecimal codes to convert colors into HTML format.

The Whole Index
Do you want to look something up in the book? You can find the entire index here, online.

Characters with accents and other diacritical marks
Here's the complete table of characters with accents and other diacritical marks (umlauts, enyes, rings, and the like), together with the special code (and name, if available) that you'll have to use to ensure that the characters appear properly in all computer systems.

Special symbols
I've expanded the Special Symbols table to include many of the name codes not listed in the book, and some other symbols that I've since discovered. I hope you find it useful.

Complete chart of HTML 4 tags and attributes
Not sure how to use a particular tag? Can't remember the exact syntax? Just look it up in the complete chart of HTML tags and attributes (which you'll also find printed on page 316-321 in the book). It contains references to specific page numbers in the book so you can find additional information, where necessary.

I've also included the table of intrinsic events for applying JavaScript effects.

Three sample pixel shims
Here are three pixel shims for your own use. There's a red one: , a blue one: , and a yellow one: . Enjoy!
