The latest version of Elizabeth Castro's guide to Netscape's wildly popular Web browsing software is called Netscape Communicator 4 for Windows: Visual QuickStart Guide. It was published in early 1998. Its ISBN is 0-201-68864-6.
This new version covers all the new features added to Communicator 4, including the new Component bar and program-wide interface changes, individual user profiles, the page proxy icon, the new souped-up Back and Forward buttons, the new Search and Guide buttons, the contextual Help system, the new reorganized e-mail and newsgroup areas, the spell checker, the new Conference module for talking on the phone via the Internet, the ability to add font information to newly created Web pages, dragging and dropping images, an improved History window, the new Netcaster (only in the Windows version), and more. Of course, the book continues to cover the entire program, including how to use the Navigator module to browse the World Wide Web, how to use the Messenger module to send and receive e-mail, how to use the Collabra module to monitor and participate in newsgroup discussions, and how to use Composer to create your own Web pages.
