Browser Safe Color Chart
My book contains a full color chart in the inside back cover to give you a selection of colors from which to choose. If you want to use browser safe colors (see page 58), I've created a chart that you can consult on the Web. Unfortunately, because the colors were created for the Web, they cannot be reproduced correctly using the four-color printing process (i.e., the way most books are printed)--and that's why they're not in the book.

Browser Safe Palette, for Photoshop
On page 66, I promise a browser safe palette that you can download from the Web site. Here it is. Although the two versions are exactly the same, one is compressed for Macintosh and the other is compressed for Windows. Please let me know if you have any trouble with either file.

The colors from the inside back cover
On the inside back cover of the book, I've printed a selection of colors that you can use for your Web pages. Although they are not "browser safe", they will work fine on monitors with more than 256 colors. On monitors with less than 256 colors, some dithering may occur.

Hexadecimal Chart
If you want to consult the hexadecimal chart on page 359 online, you can find it right here. Remember, you need to use hexadecimal codes to convert colors into HTML format.

Four sample pixel shims
Here are four pixel shims for your own use. There's a red one: , a blue one: , a yellow one: , and a transparent one: Transparent Pixel Shim. Enjoy!
